Do you have a student who shows leadership abilities and is interested in community service? The United Way youth leadership initiative is underway. They will select 25 students from 6 counties including Marion to undergo leadership training. Applications are due in Nov and require an essay as well as references. Applications can be downloaded ://www.uwci.org/yli here. FMI email paula.shepley@uwci.org Paula Shepleyor call 317-920-2562.
Parents! Over 300 parents receive this email and only ONE has offered to help with the homecoming dance. Our children learn by the examples we set. Show an interest in your child, their school and school spirit and get involved. Come to the parade. Come to the game. Come to performances at school. The choral concert the other night was very poorly attended and it was a great show! School is what YOU put into it.
Spirit Week: tomorrow is crazy glasses day.
Friday is orange and black to the maxx. Parade after school, followed by powder puff football games and THE game kickoff at 7 pm. Concessions could still use a couple parent or student volunteers. It's fun! Parents of athletes should be volunteering... your kids benefit directly from the monies raised.
