service, recommendation, financial need. Butler's tuition 07-08 is $26075. Room&board is around $8735 (students who do not live at home MUST live on campus 3 years-freshman,sophomore and junior year).

IU has announced new scholarships for 2008-09 IF you are accepted at IU AND you have the following test scores/gpa you are GUARANTEED a designated amount of money: SAT 1150-1249 or ACT of 25-27 or above and min. gpa of 3.6 - Recognition Scholarship of $2000 per year.
SAT score of 1250-1299 or ACT of 28 and min. gpa of 3.7 - Prestige Scholarship of $5000 per year.
SAT score of 1300 or above or ACT score of 29 or above and min. gpa of 3.75 - Excellence Scholarship of $8000 per year. Tuition this year was $7837, rm&board $6100-$7900.
They highly recommend applying for admission AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. Admittance AND Scholarships are handed out on a rolling basis, meaning, first come first serve. Students can apply as early as July after their Junior Year.

PIT DAY: Wednesday October 24 - Noon to 4 pm, 5-7pm. Reports cards are given to you when you check in, then visit the teachers to discuss your student. Students do NOT go to school that day. You should have received a postcard in the mail (both of ours came on Tuesday last week). There's a chili supper for parents, while it lasts, 5-6. If you need to schedule an appointment with a teacher because of conflicts please contact that teacher... teachers will let parents know if they are not available
during PIT so you can work out an alternative time.

Stop at the PTA table and buy a zoo book to support senior scholarships... join the PTA.... we may have info available on poinsettias to order for holiday gifts (any parent that can help at pta table? I have 11 teachers to see myself and plan to be there at noon to start that process).
Check out the Junior class fund raiser to help with Prom costs... if you subscribe to any magazine, you can renew your magazine thru them; they get funds! Of course, if you don't subscribe to any magazines (we don't), you can also subscribe and help them out. The junior class is responsible for funding the junior-senior prom. Yearbook orders can also be placed at PIT day.

The theatre play, Streetcar Named Desire, is this Fri and Sat. at 7 pm... come support the theatre students and the program! It's much more fun to play to a house than an empty auditorium. School spirit starts with the students and is enhanced by the parents attending too!
