Another reminder: Ladies and Gentlemen, your lunch hour is just like any other assigned class. You must report to your scheduled lunch mod - no hanging in the halls because you didn't want to go to lunch, no hiding in the restrooms, etc. It's on your schedule, guys, and if it's on your schedule, then you need to be there!
Congratulations to Lucas McCabe for finishing 2nd in his age group at the Indianapolis Half-Marathon in Lawrence on Saturday. Lucas was 25th overall out of over 2,000 runners in the 13.1 mile race. His finish time was 1 hour, 27 minutes, and 2 seconds on a hilly, difficult course. Fantastic job, Lucas!
Girls Basketball tryouts begin TODAY - Monday, October 22, 2007. See Coach Simpson in room G104 with any questions.
ASVAB testing continues tomorrow for those sophomores with the last name beginning with L - Z.
Juniors participating in the ESC mentoring program are reminded that they will be meeting tomorrow during second period in the cafeteria. Again, Junior ESC students will meet in the cafeteria tomorrow.

Students interested in the IU Groups program at Indiana University Bloomington - The deadline has been extended until Tuesday, October 23. See Ms. Kurtz or Ms. Saxhaug today for your application!
Freshmen interested in learning more about the IUPUI Upward Bound program should also see Ms. Kurtz or Ms. Saxhaug. Those applications are due October 24.
Attention National Honor Society Members: Volunteers are needed to assist with the Academic Letters ceremony on November 2. Please see Mrs. DeBruicker in H119 today or tomorrow for information. The National Honor Society will meet on Monday, October 29, at 2:45 in H119. But don't wait until the meeting to check in!
SENIORS! Please remember to check the bulletin boards outside the media center and Student Services for scholarships and college information. Also remember to check the calendar with your senior English teachers to see when representatives will be visiting Broad Ripple.
Today, Fordham University will be here at 10:00. Tomorrow, Indiana State University will be here at 9:30. And just in case you are interested in ISU, the university will be waiving its application fee for those students who turn in their applications Tuesday. See Mrs. Saxhaug for information.
