PARENTS looking at college... financial aid person at one of the colleges we visited warned DO NOT PAY ANYONE / ANY COMPANY MONEY TO HELP YOU FIND COLLEGE $... they can NOT GUARANTEE anything... it's a scam! We got a letter in the mail just this week from College Admissions Assistance inviting us to a workshop and interview. While they will have some good information, their intent is to sell you their services. Also, as the time approaches and you are offered the chance to borrow money... check with your college financial aid - while you don't necessarily want them to TELL you WHO to use; they can help you with the terms, what's a good deal or not - percentage, time length of borrowed money, can it be sold to another company and terms changed, etc..
